LA HIV outbreak story hits the NY Times

It's from an AP feed, but the story is now in the Newspaper of Record: http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2009...ustry-HIV.html

The mainstream doesnt care. It's views for them - they have a business to run as well. The story was the most read this morning on FoxNews.com. Throw porn in any news headline, and it gets tons of views, so they will keep writing articles. Same reason why most stories are negative, and why when you turn on the local news, murders fill out most of the time. They report based on what is best for their business

Newspapers love a good outbreak story. Did you already forget about swine flu? Bird flu? Those stories write themselves, and they only have to impact a teensy weensy number of people. The general public are a bunch of dumb drones who will latch onto any disease news and treat it like they're gonna get infected any minute from now.

Wake up, porn people!

Yup, just like when the last 3rd party vendor was supposively hacked and CC #s were let out in the open, it got picked up in a lot of big newspaper publications. If you throw "porn" in any subject or title, it will zoom up to the top - ask paris hilton or kimk.

news media is always looking for stories..journalism/news reporting is on an all time low if you ask me..
you'd think they smartened up and just start creating their own news stories..

The NY Times has now done their own reporting on the HIV story: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/13/health/13hiv.html?hpw.

And I've heard reports on NPR the last three days about it. I guess AIM are getting another 15 minutes of fame... or infamy.

Wow...that newstory is full of bs

They employ 1,500 performers???? WTF!?!? LOL!

They use the same couple of dozen people over and over!

But it looks like California is about to start having a condom law enforced. Good news for all of us NOT in porn valley.

I've already seen 3 major companies send their entire crews to Vegas so far in 2009. I guess I'll be seeing all of you here soon shooting. That's cool. It's a lot funner place here in Vegas anyway.
