pretty crazy
glad I'm not a meat packer, the smell would get to me my step-dad used to string up dead deer in our garage and I'd have to help him clean 'em my mother did not approve

I have never experienced letting venison to get gamy. I can imagine how ugly the smell would be, especially if it's spring or worse, summertime.
