I have a Canon Powershot A470 as my everyday, bring everywhere camera. Not too worried about it getting broken or lost/stolen cuz I only spent $100 on it, and the 2AA batteries last quite a while. It takes nice pictures.

My favorite camera I've ever owned is the Casio Exilm which I have now... The photos are pretty good and you can't beat the compact size. I like that I can throw it in my front pocket with my wallet and not know it's there.

I agree, nothing beats a Powershot for an everyday camera.

a canon powershot might be a good idea. It depends how much money you're willing to spend

I have the Panasonic TZ5, see a review here (the site is great for someone like me who doesn't know much about cameras) http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonictz5/

It is great, longer zoom than most pocket sized cams and if you want it will do everything for you. It has a Leica lens too.

I heard this is good too: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec...on_sx110is.asp

I loved my Exilim till I got wasted and dropped it in the club and broke it. My gf has one and its great as well. I'm gonna pick up the new one next week for my new camera. I hate not having my own cam.
