Lego Land vs Universal? Which is better for Boneprone Jr?

Planning my Cali trip.
Never been to Legoland. Anyone been there?

Would a 4 year old enjoy it? Or too young?

Lego land, I have a 4.5 year old... Heading down in a few weeks... He liked universal too, but legoland has more to offer at that age.

Mine are 3 and 6 (boys) They are ONLY fans of lego land because of the pirate ship water park section. If its nice out, he'll have a blast....but other then that part, its a bit boring IMHO.

My wife is always researching cool places to take them. What part of Cali are you staying in, mabey I can throw a list together.

I can't believe I haven't been to Legoland with my boy yet. But I can say that my son loved Universal, mainly the characters that walk around the downtown area. Sounds like Legoland will be better though.

I was just in legoland Denmark with my kids a couple of days ago and they loved it (2 year old girl, 4 year old boy and 10 year old boy)
I don't think Universal will really have that much to offer to a 4 year old, check out Knott's Berry Farm, was there earlier this year and it's pretty cool

My 5 and 7 year old boys had a blast at lego land. Though they did like Universal, they were really upset because they were unable to ride MANY of the rides at Universal. Lego Land is geared towards all kids.. Universal is geared toward big kids like us.

My vote for a 4 year old is Lego Land.

Have fun!

Disneyland is already in the plans. I wanted to hit up one more park while we were there.
Either Universal or Legoland.

Looks like the vote is in. Lego Land and the Laguna Beach area is it.

Ill hit up Universal on my own next week while im in town for the Playboy Mansion party.

I had a nightmare once where I was barefoot at LegoLand and there was an earthquake and all the lego structures collapsed and I had to walk on Legos to get out. A bit like Bruce Willis in Die Hard, but without the German terrorists.

Haven't been but suspect it would be a lot more fun than Universal Studios . . . I don't find that place entertaining for any age unless going there for food and drink.
