Neither did Obama. The idea was floated over six months. The Fed is independent. Bush was in office when Bernanke took over. and now Obama is. Neither president can take blame or credit for this.

Dude we need to inflate the money supply. People are plowing into t-bills which is then going to banks and sitting in reserve accounts because the asset values have dropped. What else can he do?

When Bush Jr got into the office I knew it was going to be nothing but trouble, just like you see Obama today. For me personally Obama hasn't proved or disproved himself yet - time will tell. When Obama got elected it was obvious he got in in a very bad timing. Probably no one sane would want to be in the position he is now. I'm not rushing with building my opinion and judgment regarding his presidency, I know whatever he envisioned before election and what he has to deal with are totally different things.
Personally I don't see Obama being more fucked up than the whole political and governmental system in this country - the stuff that is going on with whole country is totally insane. From what I see around I pretty much know no party is out there worth of trust.
