For 8 minutes in your member area for UK surfer, you will recieve:

Processor A : $7.04
Processor B : $7.12
Processor C : $8.00
Processor D : $10.20

Remember, the surfer pays £1.50/Min., irrespective of which phone processor you choose. Go figure.

We are D btw

It depends on the country in which the sale was made. For example, that same eight minutes would yield the following:

Germany

Processor A : $3.04
Processor B : $8.18
Processor C : $4.80
Processor D : $9.21

Norway

Processor A : $0.40
Processor B : $0.80
Processor C : $0.96
Processor D : $1.80

Belgium

Processor A : $2.88
Processor B : $4.80
Processor C : $2.40
Processor D : $5.80

Netherlands :

Processor A : $2.08
Processor B : $3.68
Processor C : $2.40
Processor D : $4.29

Argentina:

Processor A : $0.40
Processor B : $0.40
Processor C : $0.96
Processor D : $0.69

Slovakia:

Processor A : $0.40
Processor B : $2.16
Processor C : $0.96
Processor D : $2.71

We do not dictate the end-user costs - rather, the phone companies around the world with whom we have interconnect agreements do.

Interesting (self promoting) theread, but there is more to consider when evaluating this than straight "payout amounts"......

For example, how do you compare to the processors A, B and C in terms of

[a] WHEN you payout?
[b] Whether there is any chargeback or non collection possibility?
[c] The position with regard to VAT on those payouts?

It also would make your examples more transparent if you used a common currency in what the site receives and what the customer pays. In the example you gave, I calculate the customer is paying almost double what the site is receiving. (based on $1.6 to £ approx)

Nothing wrong with that, but clarity helps understanding.

Hi legcam,

Indeed, allow me to elaborate, starting with the points you raise:

[a] Payout terms vary from weekly (processor C) to 30 days end of month (processor A). We pay bi weekly, on the 1st and 16th each month.

[b] Since people tend to pay their phone bills in full, chargebacks are generally low which is why we factor payment and pay our partners before we get paid by the telcos

[c] In our case, since commissions are paid from a non-EC country is EC.VAT free.

The common currency all processors use is the US Dollar. When a surfer from say Iraq makes a regular IDD (International Direct Dial) to gain access to websites, there is no real way of knowing what he pays (it depends on carrier/priceplan etc) which is why we quote ?IDD rates apply? in the call-to-action.

With premium rate phone billing, there are two primary billing methods:

- Pay per Access (PPA) ? here, the ordering process creates the revenue, payouts are fixed, access time variable
- Pay per Minute (PPM) ? access is granted for time that the surfers are connected to a premium number

Historically, we have only offered PPA - whereas Processor A has only offered PPM.
Now, like with processors B & C, we offer both (but they offer PSMS also)

But most webmasters, understandably, still associate us with PPA and to this end we are launching an ?eight minute call? campaign to highlight the fact that we now offer PPM (with better rates) so that a like-for-like comparison is both easier and fairer:

Our CFO who is based in Liechtenstein - which happens to be where most of our international traffic terminates.

If the call originates from an EU country like UK, the VAT is automatically deducted by BT & Co, ie they collect the amount inclusive of VAT. They then pay the net amount to us, and the VAT to the treasury.

I agree, rates is a jungle so is billing methods and descriptions. I see even you are confused with the way you describe common billing methods, if you wish to post our company name along with description of our services please make sure to be accurate in the future

To make it simple we decided it's time to carry the heavy load, we will for the rest of June offer anyone that signup a maximum revenue guarantee, we will bill your customers so they make YOU the most compared to other phone billers who is posting various information and comparisons about our service.

How does this work exactly ?

1: Take a screen shot of your current phone billing stats
2: Send me the screen shot to [email protected] with permission to use it in marketing in the future FILTERING OUT YOUR COMPANY NAME (you will remain anonymous)
3: Switch your links out, let it run for 3 weeks
4: If you after those 3 weeks made less with us sending us your international traffic, we will pay you the difference x 2

I see this as a great opportunity for people to really notice a difference, RISK FREE.

In return you can expect to be paid faster, accurate based on per second billing using the most flexible billing solution available that combines Phone and SMS into 1 simple link!

Not a problem

As long as you promote your own services in conjunction with our services and company name and misrepresent us, my guarantee stands. I believe in simplicity, if you wanna compare the best way to do it is to see what's paid out at the end of the week

You really need to speak to the VAT office here to get an understanding of how VAT works or get some better advice.
