Italy VS USA Conferations Cup

I just hope we can keep this respectable. The US looked horrid against Costa Rica and I was not that impressed with the Honduras game either. Just keep it close boys.....as least our fans are hot

This will be a nice tune up before the WC. I predict the US will play Italy solid, just as they did in the last WC draw.

when the lakers won we heard a car drive by honking its horn a few times..and a few partied in front of the lakers home arena, the staples center..

when a european country team wins the european cup or world cup, all people party for a week.. the entire country goes upside down.

there is nothing like football (ie soccer)

We've actually looked respectable so far. I love the play of Altidore, and CAN NOT WAIT for Donovan to retire...wow just as I type this US gets a red card....total crap.

Should be o.k Italy only managed 4-3 against New Zealand,
Spain hammered them 5-0 yesterday

Us were 10/1 to win against Italy earlier.. worth a bet at those odds.

The US didn't play bad. Tough red card. Yellow, yes. Red, no way. Man, I wish we had Rossi. How does he not start for Italy???

He doesn't always score 2 per game. Hes new to the Nazionale so he will get his space when Lippi thinks hes worthy of it.
With or without the red card i dont think the US could have made the game theirs. Dirty elbow in the face that Donavan got, the Italian player should have been sent off for that.
Overall great 2nd half.

I realize that Rossi doesn't bag 2 goals every game, but he is such a threat. I have been following his career for quite some time now and enjoy watching him play. Yes, that was a dirty elbow on Donovan.

I don't understand why the US coach pulls Altidore, he was a good threat in the game. I didn't have an English broadcast, so I could't hear the reason. Also, please stop brining in Beasly...I mean the guy weighs 130 on a good day, he is sooo small and really isn't that effective any more. There has to be better options out there...what happened to Ching? If the US could actually finish, they would be more competitive..we just don't have anyone who can put the ball in the back of the net.

Ching is injured. I agree, Beasley just isn't doing it for me anymore. McBride should come out of retirement. He is in good form and is one of the top scorers in MLS.
