i think this is a first and a pretty big step, i think most of the world has been pushing for this, and israel has been resisting until now

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Israel could accept a peace agreement with a "demilitarized Palestinian state" as its neighbor.

israeli policies are such a joke, what they want pretty much is for the palestinians to be governed by a leader that israel chooses, with no army - and they call that freedom

i guess they've been controlling the leaders in the US for some time now though ;)

Israel has agreed to give the Palestinian security forces more freedom of action in four West Bank cities, Israeli and Palestinian security officials said Thursday, a move that implies a reduction in Israeli military activity in those areas as the Western-backed Palestinian forces assert more control.

A Palestinian can now drive from Jenin in the northern West Bank to Hebron in the south without being stopped and checked at any permanent roadblock along the way, the military says.
