Best program to MASS resize images

I have about 1000 pictures that need resizing. They are of various widths from 700-1200 and I want them all resized to 390 width. What is the best program to do this with quickly please? ? x

XP powertoys, if you run Microsoft XP
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe

Just rightclick, and select resize, set width and press OK = done

If you have Photoshop you can easily do it with that. Just go to "Actions" window, make a new directory, press record and go to "Image" -> "Image Size". Now set the width to 390 pixels and stop record.

To run this process on a whole batch, go to "File" -> "Automate" -> "Batch", select the action you just made and you're ready to go.

Thankyou for all your answers.
Another quick question.
What program and how is best for say to make the pictures different in width only Say I want to slice 15 pixels of just the width of each picture. Not reszing in proportion. Where and how would I do that? Again to be done in batch.

XP powertoys CANT do that, so you will need to check some of the others listed. I saw two of them that did that. It could resize the canvas as you needed
