:mad CCBIL: Partner account 1649747 has been suspended

Well I was going through some of my partner links and seeing which programs are still working and which weren't. Then this popped up after punching in the referral link:

Is this because the program doesn't exist anymore or did they really suspend my affiliate account?

Webmaster Program: Heartbreak Cash Affiliate Program (926558-0000)

Thoughts from other teen niche affiliates or Corvette?

Nothing.. site seems to of disappeared - I don't know how long ago this is.. I have hundreds of programs in the affiliate admin, so this was kind of a cleanup. Is it normal for a program sponsor to suspend all affiliate accounts before going out of business?

I think it would be GREAT if CCBILL had a way of closing client accounts and all affiliate accounts attached to that client account are notified that the client account is closed and to remove links. That would be awesome.

Most programs just redirect your traffic and never say anything so not like this is a lot different.

Your affiliate code is assigned directly to the sponsor, so if the sponsor closed or whatnot the affiliate account would be suspended I expect, in case for some reason the sponsor account became active, however unlikely that is.

Be nice if in this situation ccbill could have a system and email you, or make it very clear when you log into the admin, that is no longer an active sponsor

We certainly do send out an email whenever the status of an affiliate account is change.

We just sent you an email with an explanation and more information on that account.

http://18heartbreakers.com/

Also now defunct.

I was suspended for "This affiliate has sent little or no traffic over the last 6 months. This account is therefore suspended. Please remove any links you may have to 18 Heartbreakers. Thank you."

Oh well... so it goes I guess, i'm still here, and they are not.

I've had something similar from CCBill programs in the past.

I don't always have a valid website URL in the sign-up form when I initially sign up to promote a site and I guess when they are doing their housekeeping on affiliates they clean them out.

Fair enough I guess.

In ten years I have suspended only 3 accounts, due to proven fraud. I don't care if you only send tiny traffic, or if you only make one sale and stop pushing... whatever.. your account stays active forever. I mean hell, You may decided to try me again and I wouldn't want you to have to go thought the hassle of creating yet another account.

That's why I frown on sponsors that kill accounts for sending low traffic. Let's be honest, I am one man operation, with a fairly sizable daily amount of traffic from my network which I update here and there every day, and grow. Maybe i'm trying you out and seeing what works and what doesn't.. maybe i've thrown up some links on an unfinished site that i'll get back to later, could be for a hundred different reasons why i'm not sending you the kitchen sink, but mostly because your content is probably fairly vanilla and i don't really feel motivated to pushing you all over the place just yet, oh and did I mention that I do this part time?

But come the day when i'm bored and I look back and create a freesite or something for SERPs then the sponsors who can my affiliate account might just reget that decision.

For instance, today i'm working on a new Harmony 18 freesite tour. I know i've sent her tens of thousands of hits, but now i'm working on some keyword tours to help push some more traffic to the sponsor, and also because she's got such a cute smile and rock hard body

Anyways, any sponsor who thinks killing an account because of low traffic is a smart idea might need to give their head a shake.
