Modded Fender Squire

Thought I would share, this was my first guitar bought at the age of 12, 6 yrs later i mod it with a invader pickup and 2 pick ups from my gibson epiphone which was later modded with emgz guitar cost me 99 back in the day and the pickup and install only cost another 100 and the guitar sounds like a 500 dollar guitar. good times

found it kind of wild that you managed to keep something in good condition that you bought when you were 12

How many pickups do you need? Jeepers.

Sorry, I've never got along with Fenders in 25 years playing, I still think they are made badly and sound shit (mostly).

i think you are just trying the right kind of fender. Some fenders have a wonderful sound and wonderful action however i do prefer Gibson and and ESP guitars.

When you're ready to move up, I have an ESP Custom from the early 90's that was actually built in ESP's custom shop and not on their assembly line, one of Jake E Lee's guitars that I'll sell to you pretty cheap.

One of the best playing guitars that I have, but I'm up to 11 now and I'm going to let a couple go. Got a new custom built Carvin coming next week and I need to make room for it.

Its not very pretty but it plays and sounds amazing. It sat in the case under my bed for 9 years and then the autograph started rubbing off when I played it.

I'd love to try out a bunch of guitar and amp combos... I've never played anything other than my cheap Ibanez, so I have no idea really how much different an SG or Les Paul or something would sound...

I always want to try at Guitar Center but those 14 year olds who seem to have been playing for 10 years intimidate me

Just tell them you are buying something and go into the private guitar room with all the amps so big that your head would explode if they were on full power.

Since I was 12 or so I've always had a guitar. Although for some reason, I never get "bit" by the GAS (Guitar Aquisition Syndrome). I still only just have one, and still when I hear a song that is not standard tuning, I think of buying a second guitar to drop tune..
You guys with multiple guitars and walk in humadors to keep them in prime shape have my respect, but dayum could'nt do it without a helper.
