Advice?: What's the best way to prove I'm Self-Employed? (Looking 4 apt)

I'm an internet Porn Provider. I have one paysite and two tgps and I'm well off. I haven't filed taxes nor have W2s.

Now, I'm going to see a landlord tomorrow (apartment) and it's possible he may ask "Proof of income/employment"? I don't believe saying I'm a "Porn Producer" is appropriate? Plus, I don't have anything on paper. Everything goes electronically (CCBill/Epass).

What can I say if asked "Proof of income/employment?"

Show bank statements over the past three or six months.

You are well off and have never filed taxes?

If you are in the US, you should have tax records of self-employment taxes being filed - that should be good enough proof of income / employment for them to decide if you can pay your billz.

Step 1) Don't fuck with the IRS.
Step 2) Bring a recent back account statement, it should be enough, I've used Paypal statements before.

Tell him you'll prepay 3 months plus damage deposit.

If he is still worried show your bank statements.

Point being you'll always be 2 months ahead therefore if you quit paying he would have plenty of time to properly evict your non tax paying ass.

i showed 6 months bank statements.

This was with an independent owner though. things might be a bit different if you're dealing with a management company whereas they typically have iron clad rules that cant be bent.

As mentioned.. bank statements and income tax returns are about the only way.

Brings back memories of buying my house in the Spring of 1997. Before 1994, I worked a normal 9-5 job. 1995 had been virtually no income for me..living off savings. Then in 1996 the income was crazy compared to 1994. I formed an S-Corp in early 1997, but when I went to get a home loan (my CPA advised against just paying cash at the time), the mortgage company wanted 3 years worth of bank statements.

I can still remember the loan officer shaking his head and asking me if he could get in on the action.

Oh and.. take care of your taxes. Working as an accountant for 13 years prior to my site, if you're living and doing business in the US and want to sleep at night.. it's the best way. It will come back to haunt you.

Have 1 year's worth of rent and if you're sure you'll like the place, offer to prepay it all in advance (no need for proof of income then) and ask for 10% off for prepaying. That's how a REAL pimp would roll.

If you haven't filed taxes, your not self employed. Your running an illegal business under the table.

I'm not self employed. I work for a company. No one needs to know that I own it.

ccbill provides checks which do have check stubs. they also arrive weekly. those as a landlord i would accept. i would however not accept epassport statements nor paypal statements. i would tend to be very leary of electronic forms of income. to me they could be to easily forged or falsified with sending money between accounts you own to show an income higher than you really have.
i also have been very leary of anyone offering pre payment of rents in advance. i have accepted one lady who did it in a round about way after i declined the one year pre payment. instead she was asked to set up a fund that would auto pay the rent each month, it came from an inheritance. i only bring this up because in the past i had two very bad situations where someone offered to pre pay anywhere from 6 months to a year in advance. the 6 month guy was a seasonal fire fighter, little did i know at the time that he was lazy and often got most of his money during fire season and remained unemployed rest of the year, so he was late often after those 6 months. the one year guy ended up being a hellish case. ended in a drawn out eviction with many court dates, restraining orders and clean up costs. turned out he was a meth dealer and producer.
