In a study, researchers have found that long-term pot smokers were roughly 62 percent less likely to develop head and neck cancers than people who did not smoke pot.

If this is true, then Rastafarians have really low rates of head and neck cancers?

It really shouldn't matter what it cures or "helps"

The bottom line is that if a FREE man wants to get high...it shouldn't be anybody else's goddamn business. Much less a fucking law.

I think people are getting too hung up on the medical implications (because it seems to be working with the stupid govt) and we should all question what authority the govt. has to keep running our lives and telling full grown men and women what they can and can't do.

They are supposed to work for US.

I have a vaporfection that I haven't used in like 4 years, (I quit smoking weed). It's a glass on glass top of the line vap, (glass heater, glass pieces) it takes 2 minutes to heat up and you can turn up the heat a little higher to produce a hookah type thin smoke mixed with vapors.

If I still smoked weed I wouldn't use anything else, it cost me $500 though. You can buy mine though!

Oh and as for weed preventing certain cancers, I wouldn't be looking for benefits from burning and inhaling smoke that contains over 300 chemicals.

If you enjoy getting high, then whatever, but I'm kinda of tired of hearing it's "healthy".

yes let us not forget about hemp. the biggest fuckup by the dea to date and what is funny is that it is the very tool they needed to destroy the marijuana production in the us. like always though such groups get blinded by their faith and look past the powers of what they prevent, take .xxx for instance. it would start the destruction of adult but the christian right is against it and is the biggest fighter against it too.
if the dea would of allowed widescale farming of hemp, which they keep illegal because it makes the cops job harder spotting marijuana it would of started the plants destruction. growers of marijuana would be up shit creek unless they moved all opperations indoors and filtered all air entering the building down to the size of pollens. the hemp plant can breed with the marijuana plant and would just make the pot weaker and weaker. strains would die off and most pot would go back to low grade mexican unless you would of had the indoor hookup guy. though most indoor started fairly recently, they could of allowed hemp dating bacj a decade or more.

oh ya and you saying that is one of the most asinine things i have read around here yet, cancer is not the result of stress. weed also is not always a stress reliever, for many they have not so good effects from it like any other drug. this includes paranoia as well as panic attacks.
studies have also shown that smoking it technically has its harmful effects reduced by the same properties that have been shown to fight cancers. baking it is not the most effective way to consume it either. you are only getting select canaboids when you make a pot butter to cook with. full on studies have not been done either on the health aspects of the many consumables of which brownies are just one. your surefire way to get the most out of it is to reduce the weed to a fine pulp or powder and then produce a tincture out of it. you may then strain and use or strain and allow the alcohol to mostly or entirely evaporate. you can also speed up process in a mini still.

Well, there aren't many stoners and potheads I can stand to put up with. But I don't see a reason in the world for it to be any more illegal than alcohol. Alcohol is the most effective medication and most deadly poison I've ever enjoyed. I tried being high two or three times. I tried the best in the world one time. It all makes me very scared and mad. When I'm scared and mad I'm looking for blood, like any animal. Needless to say I don't become high. Because I don't like it.

I don't know how in all hell weed smoke would be any better on your lungs than tobacco smoke. Only thing I see is that they don't generally put weed through the horrible process they do with tobacco. Still, burning something is burning something. The combustion process creates all sorts of carcinogens. Even eating burned food for a long time can give you stomach cancer. I remember reading that pot smoke has alot of tar. That tar in tobacco smoke paints the lungs and builds up in there. It destroys your lungs. Causes cancer to develop. It make some kind of squamous sell and then one day one happens to break loose and BLAM you have lung cancer.

Use the vaporizer... why don't they have a small portable one, yet?

Weed illegal, alcohol legal.. doesn't really make sense. The only reason I can figure is that the government can't afford THAT many of us being unproductive losers. If weed came from the corner store, 90% of the country would be fat lazy good for nothing losers.. and while the government can pander to most of them with entitlements, SOMEONE has to do SOMETHING..

I guess that the government figures it this way... alcohol causes alot more hell and death, but more alcoholics are functioning in society, so it is okay.. plus they've figured out ways to profit from all of the suffering..... weed they figure has to be controlled??

Well I have a theory about marijuana users being "lazy"...

Consuming alcohol is legal. You can go to a bar, hang out with friends, and be publicly visible. When you smoke marijuana you are pretty much forced to stay in the house... People that do things around the house that are productive hold the same amount of productivity... e.g. artists, musicians, designers... They can all continue about their normal routine while being high. However if you aren't one of the aforementioned you're stuck doing "lazy" things.

In addition to that the culture that surrounds it also supports the laziness. When people smoke weed they're used to hanging out around the house, watching movies, playing video games, etc... whereas people that drink are you usually out and about with friends, partying, eating dinner, whatever...

If you were to take only drinkers who drink at home and compare them to marijuana smokers you would probably find the same laziness apparent in both types of people...

I'm a weed smoker so you know that I WANT this to be true....However, Bob Marley smoked like a chimney and died of cancer in his 30's.....

Bruce Lee was healthy as a horse and took all kinds of supplements including bee pollen....He died of cancer in his 30's...

But I don't see a reason in the world for it to be any more illegal than alcohol. Alcohol is the most effective medication and most deadly poison I've ever enjoyed. I tried being high two or three times. I tried the best in the world one time. It all makes me very scared and mad. When I'm scared and mad I'm looking for blood, like any animal. Needless to say I don't become high. Because I don't like it. I don't know how in all hell weed smoke would be any better on your lungs than tobacco smoke. Only thing I see is that they don't generally put weed through the horrible process they do with tobacco. Still, burning something is burning something. The combustion process creates all sorts of carcinogens. Even eating burned food for a long time can give you stomach cancer. I remember reading that pot smoke has alot of tar. That tar in tobacco smoke paints the lungs and builds up in there. It destroys your lungs. Causes cancer to develop. It make some kind of squamous sell and then one day one happens to break loose and BLAM you have lung cancer. Use the vaporizer... why don't they have a small portable one, yet? They have the e-cig for nicotine addicts.. A nicotine vaporizer.. e-cig.com Weed illegal, alcohol legal.. doesn't really make sense. The only reason I can figure is that the government can't afford THAT many of us being unproductive losers. If weed came from a corner store, 75% of the country would be fat lazy good for nothing... wait.. we're already there.. If weed came from the corner store, 90% of the country would be fat lazy good for nothing losers.. and while the government can pander to most of them with entitlements, SOMEONE has to do SOMETHING.. I guess that the government figures it this way... alcohol causes alot more hell and death, but more alcoholics are functioning in society, so it is okay.. plus they've figured out ways to profit from all of the suffering..... weed they figure has to be controlled?? You can go to a bar, hang out with friends, and be publicly visible. When you smoke marijuana you are pretty much forced to stay in the house... People that do things around the house that are productive hold the same amount of productivity... e.g. artists, musicians, designers... They can all continue about their normal routine while being high. However if you aren't one of the aforementioned you're stuck doing "lazy" things. In addition to that the culture that surrounds it also supports the laziness. When people smoke weed they're used to hanging out around the house, watching movies, playing video games, etc... whereas people that drink are you usually out and about with friends, partying, eating dinner, whatever...
