So, do we listen to his words or his actions?

His lifestyle and actions are those of a capitalist.

I met Moore about four years ago at a film conference and when he was asked about why he sensationalizes a lot of his work, Moore said that people generally as a rule do not pay attention to documentaries unless it directly affects them. While he can be a bit over the top in his approach, his films get people talking and while may not always be 100% correct, he inspires discussion and debate to issues that people will talk about yet refuse to do the research to become informed.

I assume his latest offering will resonate with America because they are way more have nots than haves these days and Moore is positioning himself to be the voice of the people trying to fight for the people against Wall Street, Banks, and the government....all three areas that Americans absolutely hate right now.

there is nothing wrong with Capitalism. The problem is corruption and the lack of actions to fight it and to make sure it dont happen again.

But how the hell do you expect to make it better, when you put the same people in charge again and again and again and again and again and again

The people have no other choice than to put those in charge because it is a controlled process, always forcing us to choose between the lesser of two evils. The first step is to abolish the two party political system.

his movies are edited to be very onesided. there's an interesting documentary out there called manufacturing dissdent by some candiens that examines his tactics, his presentation of facts, etc. i'm not saying his motives, his ideas aren't just, but he only gives one half the argument and does everything he can to make sure his point is the only one that can come across. if anything, it loses some impact of his message and makes you really question his persona, if its just a front for a bigger paycheck.

You don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.

A few greedy crooks on Wall Street don't make every businessman the same.

His message is usually right on but it is true these tactics hurt his movies. I do not see why he can't just let the facts tell the story.

Oh you mean those few bad apples that stole a measly few billion and caused a financial meltdown resulting in loss of jobs, livelihoods and destruction of honest people's lives? Otherwise, wall street is a bunch of good honest blokes of course.

I usually agree with him but you know with all the talk of socialism getting so much traction, this whole movie will just be spun to show how democrats are not only socialists, they literally hate capatilism. The actual content of the movie doesn't matter.

Like I said, I agree with most of Moore's views but he does what makes him famous, not what helps tell the truth. He is no different from Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'reilly.

I think he does more harm than good. The people who agree with his movies are already sold so you're preaching to the choir. And the people in the middle hate him and his tactics so he just pushes them farther right.

You need to bring in the middle, not push them further away.

I totally approve of Michael Moore especially given that I think part of the USA has lost it's voice... and is completely blind to the reality of their situation.

I find it funny that americans are protesting like crazy that some of their tax dollars will be used for their own healthcare but didn't go out and protest like that when the government was bailing out these huge corporations with you and your childrens tax dollars.

We actually have a multi party system in the US. This last election I had 4 or 5 different choices for president. Half the people in this country that are eligable don't even vote. If those people and everyone who says the are voting for the least shitty option voted third party we would have a third party. But nobody does. The reason is people say they want change, but most really don't.

I also love the people who are protesting now saying that the government is getting too big and taking over our lives. But they were pretty silent when Bush was creating an entire new branch of government and passing the patriot act which took away and endagered people's rights.

My favorite is when people say, "I don't want my tax dollars going to lazy people who don't want to work or pay their own way." While it might be a legit argument to some degree, the amount of most people's tax dollars that go to that is literally cents. The top 5% wealthiest people in this country pay about 75% of the taxes so unless you are in that 5% most of what taxes you pay go to schools and defense. A few cents here and there find their way to welfare, but it isn't much.
