If someone hits you up on IM to sell a domain, it's not me.

Voodoo just got hit up about this so I'm starting a thread.

If someone hits you up saying they are a mod on gfy and asks for your info, don't I repeat don't give it to them.

If I find out who this is or their icq number, I will update you all in this thread.

I will always offer to email you from the domain's whois email and I always expect the same from the people I do business with. I have never bought a domain without making them do that first.

Exactly... I get hit up on icq or sent emails from gmail accounts asking for changes to their accounts. If they don't email me from the email addy they signed up with, I won't honor their requests.

It is EASY to send email with a fake email address.

If you're unsure, send email to the listed email address on a whois lookup.
