In some areas. Still a kid in other areas. Though I'll be 25 in two months. Time to mature a little more.

I like to think we all mature to some degree with each passing year. Someone or something flips a switch for us.

Depends.

In business dealings, sure. But there are certain things in life that change when you are in your mid thirties versus 20's, single, no responsibilities. You have to start worrying about other family b.s., start planning for the future. By future, I mean beyond this weekend, and who's driving or buying (ie partying).

If you don't know what Sleazy did before he got into adult then you shouldn't base your comment on what you read. We all go through rough times and make decisions that don't work out but that doesn't mean someone "grew up".

There is a big difference between making an investment that didn't work out and not being grown up or mature.

Nope, I'll be 48 in Nov.

I still work harder than anybody I know and I play harder too. I like to outwork, outdrink, and outfuck everybody else. lol

I've always been serious when it comes to work and family. And I've always been a complete wildman when it was time for play. No plans on changing. I have given some thought to giving up cocaine when I reach my 70's. It just won't look dignified.

Sure does pay to do you research on business partners. Then again, the pickins are slim on who you can trust in the adult industry and finding someone who is local. Tough luck on that one.

I've done a lot of growing up in the last 2 years. Life won't throw at you what you can't handle and even though I got a lot of things thrown at me I thought I couldn't handle I did. Hands on the bootstraps and pull up hard. Financially I may as well not comment as most won't believe me anyways. I now have absolutely no doubt that I can and will succeed at everything I put my mind to.

I only have a few pieces of the puzzle to complete now, and while they are big pieces I have no doubt that those puzzle pieces will be put back into place very shortly here. I know what I want, I know what I need to be happy and fulfilled. I know how to achieve the plateau of success I have been working towards. It took me longer than I wanted to bounce back from the bottom, but I am bouncing like a super ball with a rocket strapped to it. Karma is going to handily take care of those that deserve it. Love will lead the way for others.

So yes I've grown up a lot. 36 years has flown by and Im not going to waste anymore time not giving life 100%. Planning on being on a tropical beach within 45 days I can't wait.

I'm 27 now and was a "late bloomer" so to speak and hadn't even really started to grow up until a few years ago. The changes in my life from 2007 to now: enjoyed my first 6-figure profit year in domains and all signs pointing to steady increasing income, that prompting the quitting of my day job, moving out and buying a condo, had my first serious relationship...then things start going downhill as that ended up screwing up my income flow due to losing focus plus the relationship ultimately didn't work out, my first condo drops a total of about 40% from when I bought it, my "rainy day" stocks to fall back on drop about 50% before I have to sell them because of needing the money, the economy screws up domain industry a bunch and that further screws income, everyone else in my family has become poor more or less because of their business stuff not working out as soon as hoped, and I'm essentially living month to month with a ridiculous amount of debt. Basically went from fairly broke with a shitty job to decently rich, independent and in what seemed like a good relationship to broke and single again but with no steady job income to fall back on and a shitload of debt. 2 of the bigger things I had always been told in life, that real estate is the best investment one can make and that it's good to have some stocks long term w/ dividends reinvested so it's a growing fallback etc. were basically destroyed.

So yea, have grown up a bit from all this. And no longer enjoy much of life, but am confident things will turn around. It helps having gone from rags to riches once before and having experience under my belt. The worst thing is that if it wasn't for the relationship, which in hindsight was a bad idea from the beginning, I'd probably have made it into hog heaven before the economy went down.

The day you look back at the past few years and you realize you haven't done any growing up during them is the day you should realize you're in deep shit, regardless of your financial/social/spiritual standing for the time being.

Life and everything around you evolves. You can be happy with what you have or you can choose to evolve with the environment. Regardless of your choice there will always be someone gunning for your position, if you're high up, or looking to step on you to get higher, if you're low.

I agree, absolutely nothing wrong with being happy. As I said, if you're happy, then fine. ;)

Now, if you can stay happy forever without evolving (growing up) then that's a whole different issue. If you can, I envy you. If you can't, then someone's got some growing up to do.

I definately have. I think even in the last year alone I've grown up a lot.. lived in Toronto for 6 months, back home for 2 now in Malta for 3 months so far. Toronto was the first time I lived "Alone" and it was tough. When I first bought my house back home my brother lived with me, then my girlfriend moved in so for 3 years of owning a house I never lived there alone.

Its amazing what a little time alone can do to a guy. I grew up a lot and appreciated more what I had in life.

Sounds like you have even more growing up to do than most of us. Ignorance is bliss.

EDIT: That being said, if you have zero worries in the world currently, then yep, that is a position to envy. ;)

We grow up and mature all the time really. I honestly believe I grew up in my thirties.

I'm so glad at how everything went down. I saw so many of my friends getting married, having kids, getting divorced; I wanted no part in that. Everything happened late in life for me, college, getting married, having a kid. You grow up a lot when you have a kid.

the one thing I remember from philosophy in university was the final exam. The last question on the paper was one word "Why?" - it was worth something like 20 or 30% of the test. It was on the top of the page and there was lines for an essay underneath and it said on the bottom you could add additional pages. I answered with one word "Because." I got full marks. I think I was the only one in that class of about 40 people that did that. I watched people add 2-4 sheets of babble and get less than I did. I didn't get the best grades in university, but I got "A's" in all philosophy classes I took, kinda enjoyed them.

I think I am very "grown up" when it comes to business, but I'm still very much young at heart when it comes time for partying and rash decisions to drive to AC for a night

Im told by people that Im immature that don't know me because yeah, I might get drunk, pull my shirt over my head and run down the street swinging my arms in the air.

But what they dont know is when it comes time to work and life I am mature and definitely have grown up a lot more in the past 3 years.

Comparing "real" bossku69 to "playtime" bossku69 is almost like 2 different people, but I enjoy my life and dont want to look back when im 40 saying "shit, when i was in my late 20s early 30's i wish i would of had a better time

I feel like I've grown up a lot more in the last 2 years.. but at the same time I also feel younger than I felt 5 years ago.. kinda strange..

I matured the moment my first son was born, but I never really grew up....hell, I still have long air (dyed it blue about 7 months ago and have kept it that color since), am engaged to a much much younger woman, still act like a big kid sometimes, but in all, I don't party or do anything that will jeopardize my ability to take care of my kids...
