For decades, magazines and other publications have been "falsifying" images so that the subject in question is more beautiful. Now they suddenly care? If France has lobbyists remotely close to American lobbyists, this won't go far. TV and movies have just as much makeup.

You know, I am about as socially liberal as they come and can see some benefit from a law like this.
I don't think of it as going too far, but rather as a truth in advertising issue. The reality is that a lot of people don't realize what they're looking at. That fact is sad for society, but it's still reality. |

All it is saying is attaching a warning label much like a pack of cancer sticks.
I don't see anything wrong with that. It's not censorship. A little label in the corner saying "this photo has been retouched" is a step in the right direction. I doubt the models will like it though. Duke
