Yahoo to discontinued paid inclusions at the end of 2009

For those using yahoo for feeder/transition sites for adult dating/male enhancement and other "adult"ish sites, here's some sad news. Been rumored for a while now.... http://searchengineland.com/yahoo-to...-program-27852

They're just a bunch of Yahoos anyways.

They really started going down when they started with that paid inclusion bs back in 2k or abouts.
Up to that time, their traffic was king. Can't go back in time now.

As long as they don't touch arbitrageurs' bread and butter (YPN), they are still okay. I doubt they'll do that anyway since the BING deal gives them a fat % (80% I think).

It varies. I run mostly mainstream sites and I convert better with Yahoo/Bing organic traffic than with Google.

Caffeine-related. Summing up Matt Cutts' focus on TRUST and the recent trend of incorporating social buzz--it all leads back to the same stage. Unless they focus only on TRUSTED SEED sites, everything else is more or less open to gaming since much of the "social buzz" depends on user generated content. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a pullback form the whole buzz trend for the SEs.

Years back, I paid them $90 to take part in that Overture shit.
Then they did not let me log in again.

Yahoo sucks.
