My guess is that more companies are moving to online ad sales because they are seeing a bigger return, and can better track results. Both direct, and indirect.

Yes, there's a FLIGHT TO QUALITY and CONTROL. Nothing like a bone crunching recession to force advertisers to shift more money into online ads. Maybe the start of a permanent shift.
