But why would they fear a 'populist uprising' against their bank?

Whatever could they have done wrong to to even conceive something like that happening?

A lot of economist believe the demise of the American dollar isn't far off. I guess they're worried that if that happens some Americans might hold them to blame...

america quickly moves on, in a year or two no one would remember or care, unfortunately

Yeah that's what they are hoping for. That they get away with stealing trillions of dollars and the World doesn't hold them accountable for it. They almost pulled it off if it wasn't for that pesky audit the fed bill.
