Global warming + ice caps melting = higher sea levels? BULLSHIT!

Not trying to spark a debate or post meaningless global warming bullshit on here but there is one key thing these so called "scientists" seem to be forgetting with regards to ice caps and sea levels rising that makes me laugh. You may have noticed this aswell.

Basic science teaches you that when ice melts in water the water level will drop.

And if 7/10ths of an ice bergs mass is in fact under water. if that was to melt it would result in lower sea levels not higher.

Simple test, fill a glass with water and 2 ice cubes mark the water level.

Wait for them to melt and it will be lower level than before.

Ice caps are displacing water making sea levels what they are today.

If they were to go, the area they are displacing currently would become water in it's normal form.

If people think ice melting = more water = higher water levels. I would like to know where these people got their education.

Good point, I'm just trying to work this out.

If the ice and icebergs melt that could still displace any ice that is formed ontop of land it wouldn't matter.

How much of it is actually formed on land? and how much is pure ice?

Dude, if you know that the polar ice caps are covering land masses... then you can use your own math to understand how sea levels would rise if they melt.

the problem with 'global warming' isn't the regular fluctuations of nature

it's the amount of greenhouse gases we have and if everything is 'able to right itself' with the added pressure

Getting ice caps confused with icebergs made entirely of ice is what I meant to say. I.E. large chunks of ice melt = lower sea levels. Didn't take into account ice above land etc.

water level does NOT go down when ice melts.

go look up archimedes principles 1st, then get an understanding of salt water v fresh water principles.

The government needs to scare you where they make you think, if you dont buy carbon credits, let them tax the shit out of you, that the world will end as we know it.


Global warming is a serious money making scam used to make people willingly pay more taxes without them knowing it. Big business gets taxed or forced to buy carbon credits and big business passes that costs down to the consumers.

What's the one thing we seem to be running out of and can't get enough of? Water. Counties are going to war with each other in the US over water rights. Central California farms can't get enough water because LA sucks it all down. Someone needs to figure out how to change salt water to drinking water in massive amounts, and then just pump it out of the ocean to where ever we need it.

They already have them, they're called Desalination Plants. But how do you propose inland areas get water that currently depend on mountain snowpack? The Rocky Mountains supply water to most of the Southwest through the Colorado river, what do you think will happen if there is no longer snow in those mountains?
