In my mind, when Obama goes to visit Islamic countries, he says, "Asalam Aleikum and Jesus is dead." - just because he has to cater to the political audience.

Besides, he doesn't want to get killed by Islamic people because they hate him too much, seriously. It is dangerous.

As-Salamu Alaykum is a common greeting in those parts. Like "have a good one" and means "peace be upon you, may you have piece" or something along those lines so I don't see the problem in saying it. As for Jesus untimely demise...well he IS dead, long dead; if he ever existed in the first place, so again there's no sin in saying the dead are dead, is there?

As for his fear of being killed...are you kidding me? Have you ever seen the preparations made before the US president, whomever they may be, takes a casual walk in the moonlight? When Bush and Clinton came over here it was fucking biblical. There's no fucking way he could get fried by a fanatic with a gun so easily...maybe with a stinky shoe...

The problems were caused by Bush in the first six years of his presidency. Anyone who thought that a new president could step in and reverse the situation in the first year is an idiot.

Obama is going to be cutting it really close, but there should be noticeable improvements in the lives of voters before the 2010 elections. If things are still bad, it's going to be ironic to see the Republicans campaigning on fixing the very problems that they put into motion.

If you want to blame Bush, start with blaming Clinton as he inadvertedly started the financial/credit meltdown. Bush didn't help either, but people were ignorant as hell to believe Obama was a savior. He's already on track to trump Bush in terms of deficit spending, and it's not even close.
