How is life in Vegas? Good place to buy a house?

Thinking about moving to Vegas.
What do the people who live there think?

How is it over all?

Phoenix Suburbs seem better to me. Been looking at both.

I think I'm going to go to Vegas this weekend and take a look at the houses with a realtor.

Do you like the heat?
The housing market is all over the place, up and down and all price ranges...
Make sure you have a job, or a trust fund...

Probably a good place to buy now.

My dad picked up a place 2 years ago, because he has an office there. He paid $270k for a house that was built for $480k.

He was told recently that if he wanted to put it on the market, they'd list it for about $160k.

I don't live there but I hear you can get a mini mansion for like 200K, and keep telling my wife if she did not have a good job, we would move to Orange County or Vegas...sick of cold weather.

Honestly, I think it's a crime ridden shit hole.

No offense to you guys who live there, but seriously, I could not do it. I wish they would drop bombs on the north end.
