Actual Decent MODERN Royalty free music?

Over they years I've been searching for decent royalty free songs to use on videos, and 99% of it is pure crap, sounds like some 12 year old sat there on a midi keyboard and software used since 1997. Cheesy and crappy!

Anyone got any decent spots to get some at reasonable rates?

yeah, that heavy metal wasn't bad. I need some hip hopish electronic stuff to match the stuff I use on my trailers:

The one embed video here:
http://www.revengetv.com/2/rtv5.php

and then the trailers here:
http://www.bustedonfilm.com/spycam-f...ToyOjQ,0,0,0,0
http://www.bustedonfilm.com/spycam-m...ToyOjQ,0,0,0,0
http://www.bustedonfilm.com/spycam-b...ToyOjQ,0,0,0,0

I have access to thousands of unused tracks from various artists/producers in rock, hip hop and various electronic genres. If I could round these up into one place, is that something people would be interested in?

many people would certainly be interested, but legal issues need to be checked first. German artists for example that have registered with GEMA - and even if it's only 1 song - cannot release GEMA free music anymore in their name.

not sure if it's the same with ASCAP

These are from independent artists that either I know personally or know through friends.

What's a good price for this kind of thing? Do people want loops or complete compositions?

well, in the shop i posted a CD with 10 songs is about $110

and loops with a defined length of 30 secs, 1 min or 2 mins. would be a dream - but most of the time you get full songs.

Interesting. I will check into this and see how much I have access to that is sample-free and see how many producers I can get on board.

Actually I do, the artist for that particular song on RevengeTV gave me permission to use it as long as I credit him (note "projekt mks" at the bottom of the page) and I have the doc to back it, the site I found his song at is lost, I can get other songs from him, but the site itself was a goldmine for him and other artists that were decent.

Then the ones on bustedonflim.com I have the docs for, but doesn't have a URL to it, just Dutch physical addresses.

I have the answer, but unfortunately, this is one of those things that I can't give away for free.... because it's not free. Neither the actual material or the answer to the question. This comes from longevity, experience, and let's face it..... money.

You want to get on the inside of this... you gotta either fight your way in the hard way, or pay for it.

It's been so long and I almost forgot I had it but I'll try to look for it tonight... I hope my ex didn't take it with her when we split up... hmmmm.. :P

We also rep people in the music biz from artists to manufacturers to labels.

Hit me up with what you are looking for and I will see if we have an unsigned artists that wants some free exposure...
