visa fee cleared up!

Well not yet. Keep reading.

After 3 years now processing cc's with ccbill I still do not understand why I need to pay a visa fee again if I go with a secondary processor.

Does visa not recognize my company ein number and that the fee was paid already? 3 years ago this is how I understood it and explained to me.

Appreciate any technical responses reworded in lamens terms.

Supposedly the "VISA fee" doesn't go to VISA to begin with. So that would basically answer your question. It goes to the IPSP.

I'm thinking about netbilling. I researched several months ago and all of them wanted the visa fee again.

Zamboi claims to not have it at all but I went through the signup process and remember differently.

I process with them and I never paid the VISA fee. There's been no problems.

Our latest studies in regards to the visa fees have provided us with information showing that Visa charge you a fee to go with a secondary processor because they can.
Visa does recognize your ein number and is counting all the money you are paying.
Our most recent market research have shown that after your fourth fee, you may get a birth date card from them.

Where does it go? I'm on my phone and googling IPSP would take a really long time.

I have no idea exactly where the money goes, but I think the ipsp is required by VISA to have a "visa dept." checking stuff. And the fee finances this dept. And I think this is only for US based ipsp's.

I could be totally wrong, but this is what I have reasoned in my mind based on tidbits of information I have read over the past 6 or 7 years when all this shit started.

From recollection when I was initiating a new processor the reason explained to me is that the site(s) had to be rechecked again because a new processor.

If that is the reason, why do I not pay a 750 dollar fee each time a new site is added? Doesn't visa have to check each site?

I find it kinda funny that the fee has always been negotiable, based on whether you're a serious webmaster or not.

That's why I'm sure it doesn't go to VISA.

I've never been opted out of the fee. Not sure waht to think.

I process over 100k and below 1 mil, is there a serious button?

I seriously do not want to piss money... Can that happen?

I guess what makes the most sense is BV's reason.

The processor pays visa something and we are just under there umbrella.

So say 1000 site owners are paying 750 +/- the first year and now 500 +/- every year after. That is well over 1 mil a year in a fee (per processor) imposed supposedly by visa. Seems like a lot with these "hypothetical" numbers.

Someone in the know not working for a processor surely must have the answer to this question.

What does not make sense?
It makes Visa money. Why is it is so hard to believe that they charge a fee to make more money ?

My op was about paying the same fee again with another processer.

So either my company is recognized by visa for paying the fee or it is not. If the later, then it is grouped under the processor who is collecting it.

Either way, I want to know where my money goes because every processor states it is a visa fee and I, quite frankly, don't think it is.

You say you can't understand why you should pay the same fee again, I just answered you. Because it makes them money.

If you create more work by creating 2 accounts, why shouldn't you pay twice ?
