![]() One of the interesting challenges with adult traffic is how to convert it over to mainstream products to generate additional revenue. When a surfer is thinking with the head that is below the belt, they want their instant gratification, so their eyes are focused on what will satisfy them.
A mainstream offer will not appeal to them since they are thinking with the other head. This is why i believe alot of attempts at trying to convert adult traffic to mainstream don't work well, unless there is a unique product to catch their eye as the surfer scans your web page. I believe what needs to happen is that the surfer needs to be drawn/attracted to a banner/offer that gets him to think from the head on his shoulders. At that point, the horny surfer turns into the "mainstream" surfer, where he might be a lawyer, biz man, etc someone with disposable income that does purchases from internet websites. I believe that Blog sites and even tube sites are potential gateways for converting the porn surfer to a mainstream surfer, because you can mix up the adult with the mainstream. Anyone have successes promoting mainstream products from adult websites? please share. Fight the conversion!

Make sure your network and sponsors are cool with adult traffic. A lot simply are not. There's a lot of "adult" networks who have released quasi-mainstream products on their own "mainstream" networks who are cool with being promoted on adult sites. These products are usually adult in nature though and are expected to be promoted via adult traffic I would think. Which raises the question does being a tangible product really make you instantly mainstream? If your networks aren't cool with adult traffic, you'd best find one who is, or at least step through some hoops to clean your traffic up before they spot all your referrals coming from cumhungrycunts.com
