It is one thing after the next with the olympics...

Death
Torch malfunction
Men's downhill cancelled today

What's next? We're only 2 days in.

at least the luge is still going to happen today, 5 pm, we have 5 tickets. the women's super combined downhill is currently up in the air, we have 5 tickets for that as well. we have people up here staying with us that planned their trips around these two events, and now they likely will not be seeing the women's... pretty lame.

Is there really no snow?

It's funny since here, where the winter is usually lame, it's the coldest winter in the past 20 years now and like two three feet of snow, some cars are buried in snow for close to a month already.

nope, there is too much snow lol. dumping ever day this week, and that's why the changed the mens and put the women's up in the air. we've had well over 1000 cm this season, and yeah, snowing every day, which fucks up the courses.

they said the men's downhill was cancelled because it was too warm and the course was slushy.

Ah ok

Just arrived at a TV set I guess I haven't really properly watched Olympics since Nagano '98.

Actually since the hockey Tournament in Salt Lake City.

Looking forward to hockey this year - most likely the last Olympics for Jagr.
