Floyd Mayweather Jr, a coward

now that the camp of Manny Pacquiao agreed for the 14 day cut off drug testing, Mayweather instead saying he will go for 2nd retirement again. Thus the negotiations between the 2 camps were collapsed.

Now, Manny Pacquioa will scheduled to fight Margarito "the cheater" on November

Mayweather has been a coward for years prior to this. He's a joke and will never be considered as one of the true all time greats by true boxing fans and historians. It's too bad because he could potentially be in that class if he would have fought the best...in their prime...in his weight class when he had the chance.

He's a bitch plain and simple.

Arum Says Floyd Didn't Accept Manny Fight, He Will Go With Plan B

By Michael Woods

Manny Pacquiao?s promoter Bob Arum announced on a late night conference call that Floyd Mayweather didn?t accept the offer to fight the Filipino on Nov. 13, and settle who the top pound for pound fighter is in the sport today.

Arum, the Las Vegas based dealmaker who has tried since last year to get Congressman Pacquiao and Mayweather to square off in what would be the richest boxing match in history, with both men certain to earn over $40 million apiece, sounded resigned, and not bitter, that Mayweather decided not to accept a Pacquiao fight at this time.

Instead, Arum said during the call that kicked off at 3 AM Eastern, he will next week pursue Plan B for Pacquiao, in the form of a date with Mexican hitter Antonio Margarito (in Mexico or Vegas) or Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto (in Texas or Vegas).

Arum said that he negotiated thru HBO?s Ross Greenburg, who brought info to Floyd?s advisor, Al Haymon. He didn?t deal with Golden Boy?s Richard Schaefer, but he presumed Haymon was informing Golden Boy of the progression of negotiations, because Oscar De La Hoya last month said a deal was near. Arum said that the door to fight Mayweather isn?t closed, either for November, or for next year. He had promised all concerned that he would negotiate exclusively with Team Mayweather til this cutoff date, but that exclusivity window is closed. To his knowledge, Arum said that he didn't think Mayweather responded to this drop-dead date. However, if Mayweather suddently decides he wants Manny in November, he could still get back in the picture. Arum said he'd like to close a deal with either Margarito or Cotto in 10 days or so.

He's just hanging on to his "undefeated" record. Talk about a cop out. Would be sad to see Pacquiao retire without having fought Mayweather.

mayweather is a great boxer and because of this his fights are boring imho.
I want to see a fighter, fight and take chances not play it safe and try not to get hit.
I guess that's why I watch way more mma than boxing these days.

Mayweather is a little bitch. If he doesn't fight Pacquiao I hope he never steps in a ring again. His 'undefeated' record doesn't amount to jack shit if he cops out of fights he stands a chance to lose in.

trying not to get hit is premise of the sport... he has more knockouts than not.

Lets not talk excitement of sport and bring in mma into the conversation, the difference is laughable. Sure, it's gotten more popular than boxing the past 5 years or so but people are finding out fast how boring that sport can actually be... nobody wants to watch 3 rounds of grappling... they want to see knockouts! As soon as boxing gets some new blood in there worth watching its going to come back and come back strong...

thats why mma is still the fastest growing sport in the world...

there are still plenty of ko's in mma and maybe 1 in 10 fights is a boring ground game, which btw is only boring if you do not practice the sport..

sometimes the ground chess game is pretty good if you know what you are watching...

boxing is never going to make a comeback.. unless they bring back bare knuckle 100 round fights..

people want to see blood and the fighters are way too protected now..

which is why mma has taken off...

mayweather just wants the "0" intact in his loss column. despite his numerous unreasonable demands, excuses, and other shenanigans to make him appear that he wants to fight Pacquiao, he is a true blue blooded COWARD.

Would I like to take a beating and get paid $30-40 million bucks? Heck ya. Mayweather will go down in the ANALs of boxing history as a true ASS.

Mayweather is a smart businessman.

When they finally DO fight, and they will, Mayweather wants it to be HUGE BUYS and all this pseudo-drama is a marketing ploy to build up the hype and when the time is right, he'll have people dying to see this fight.

You call him a pussy but most of the boxing community agree that Pacman wouldn't be a massive threat and he would most likely take the win.

EDIT: Plus, he's a commerical fighter who has consistently maximised his value, considering you bitches are meant to be in marketing I'd think you'd respect that.

The Floyd approach.. I wasn't aware that accusing your challenger of using steroids, making 500 prissy demands, then still backing out of the fight when those demands are met is an 'approach' to making a fight happen.

He's a scared little bitch that's afraid to lose his 'perfect' record to a much superior fighter. That's why when he realized Pacquiao was willing to meet any demands in order to make the fight happen he went into "early retirement".

"Mayweather is a coward...."

Says the overweight porn webmasters of GFY - who probably have never thrown a punch let alone stepped inside of the ring with another professional.

On another note, it should be interesting to see how Manny does as a congressman. He's taking Public Administration classes and also promised some substantial changes in Saranggani.

Oh, I wasn't aware you had to be a professional boxer to have an opinion. Next time I think a football team stinks I'll be sure to reserve my opinion since I'm not an All Pro Football player.

Mayweather IS a coward.

Mayweather is a good fighter but if he doesn't fight (and beat) the best there is to offer, he will never be considered one of the greats.

its a game. boxing is as much about the politics behind the fights as the fights themselves.

if you don't understand boxing as a whole, go fuck your mother.

floyd is playing the "boxing" game better than anyone. the fight itself is just a very small part of the whole thing.

good luck. with a brain your size, you will need it to survive beyond 2010.

Nice English. Try capitalizing your letters and using punctuation next time. Maybe I won't feel like I'm reading something typed out by a 3rd grader.

Floyd's demands were met 110%, he stands to make $60 million+ fighting Pacquiao. There is no "boxing game" left to play, he's played every aspect and has gotten everything he possibly can.

Go read all the demands he's made as well as his ridiculous steroid accusations, (which BTW, he's being sued for). Realize that when he made those outrageous demands he figured Pacquiao would NEVER agree to them and there would be no fight.

After Pacquiao bent over backwards to meet everyone of his demands, Mayweather went into "early retirement". It's not the money, nor is it the "boxing game". He is undefeated, he knows there is a good chance he could lose to Pacquiao and he's not willing to risk that.

In other words, he's a COWARD.
