Wordpress Tube vs. Tube Script SE

I am a newb to the tube thing. I am only using my Sponsors media to further more traffic to them. That is where my interest in tubes begins and ends. Bonus keyword traffic would be pretty fab too, as everything redirects either to digitaldivasonline, or the 3 sponsors I have running ads...

I am curious though, how Search Engines would pick up a wordpress post, vs. a tube script post and if one would rank higher than the other. Or would they be at the same level of relevance.

Perhaps it would depend as well on optimization plugins? Thoughts or experiences anyone?

I haven't used tubescript, but with wordpress you can play around with your permlink settings and set up some nice SE friendly post urls that pull from your title or tags or category.

http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

Check out 'Structure Tags'. Keep in mind you can combine some of them, no idea if it's harder on the server when combining.

I can't really see any fundamental advantages of one over the other with search engine optimization in mind, though there are probably many when it comes to performance, extensibility, and work flow. SE-friendly URL's seem to be a standard feature in all current tube site scripts and is easy to implement in Wordpress by adjusting the Permalinks option.

Outside of that, on-site stuff like text, content obfuscation, proper markup, and etc is a matter of the layout, which is script-independent.

That's one of the problems with using Wordpress as a tube script if the developer hasn't taken the time to modify the administration to allow for a better work flow. Depending on your modifications, adding a video may be a tedious and lengthy (well, lengthy to short attention span Internet age peeps like us) process.

If you're interested in a Wordpress tube theme / plugin suite, be sure to preview the addition process to ensure that it's a procedure you'll be able to perform in a timely and efficient manner.
