I see alot of complaining about shitty sales lately. Then when I click on links in sigs and look at content, its easy to see why. The girls are butt fucking ugly! To be clear, I am a photographer/videographer and not a webmaster, but I am also a surfer and will pay for sites alot of times. I dont know if some people think surfers will pay to see just any random chick naked and/or doing porn but Jesus, most of the girls I see posted here and on these sites are just nasty as shit. I wouldnt pay $1 to see more of them but I am sure they were really cheap and you got tons of content for $75 out of the crack whores right? If you get shitty sales and want better ones, look at the quality of your girls, and find better ones

Good quality pics are important, but not everyone likes the 'model' type of girl you are showing here.
For me, the bikini model has a very pretty face, but I'm not into fake boobs, so I wouldn't sign up to see more of her.
And there are many good quality picture/video sites already with glamour models/babes, but they don't necessarily sell better than the more 'amateur-looking' sites.
It all depends what your surfers are into.

Not at all. There are some very talented shooters on here and around the business, but they dont complain about shitty sales. My post was meant for some who have ugly ass girls on their sites and are actually expecting people to pay for it. Just saying, they may want to look at the quality of what they are offering. Sales are much harder to come by these days and what people paid for a year ago, they arent now.

It says right in the image properties that the photo was run through Photoshop CS3 for the Mac. Never mind the fact that it is 600x900 72dpi.

And imho she looks very plastic and fake. I'm going to have to agree with Shimmy, as my tastes also do not run along the lines of glam. Amateur and Girlfriend content is hot right now and selling. Program owners aren't putting up sites because of the near-free content, they're putting up the sites because that is what people want to see.

There's a market for everything.

One example: Amateur. It has been one of my biggest money-making niches over the last decade. Less than pro quality pics of average girls that look like they were shot by their boyfriend, or by some voyeur. Some guys like plain-looking girls. Other guys like thick chicks, others like 250+ lb whales. Some of us have made some nice money selling that stuff.

Conclusion: There IS no one type or quality of content that is better than all others

Exactly. You can see average girls anywhere, what dumbass PAYS to see it? You can go down to your mall or local store and see random looking average girls. Hell, you can pay one $20 and she will show you her boobs probably. Most every guy I know want to see the fantasy girl they will never get naked and/or teasing them in photos and videos and they pay for that. My friends are never jealous when I shoot some random Myspace girl, but if I have a Pet/Playmate or some porn star coming over, you bet your ass they get jealous and want to come over.

While that is indeed true.. if you have a solo site with a below average chick and attempt to market it as if it's Carmen Electra(read: an above average bombshell).. you will see zero results. Same can be said if you have a multi-model site and you market it as glamour/babe type stuff and the girls are below average.. again, shitty to zero results. Most people who buy in that market can obtain that level of pussy, or are married, etc.

If you have an ugly or below average GND chick and market her as such, your results should be good.

the argument as i understand it has nothing to do with the quality or style of the photography, but solely the sex appeal of the model.

the debate is going way off it's original line of reason here...

Some great points. after shooting 8 years going from am to glamour I would say the best seller is the blonde cutey GND. Stylish photography doesnt always sell well(depends if times are good or not) it is great for a tour design and stuff but guys prefer a variety of stuff and personally i think a cute girl in a tshirt with great skin good hair/makeup wearing jeans and a tshirt will do very well.

It has to be shot well.

If you notice how good the photography or styling it is then i think it becomes to distracting and takes away from the what your trying to jerk off to.

Being in focus and shot well should not be an issue but mandotory.

I think Mr E means before he got distracted by the guy criticising him, was that there is a lot of reguratated content out there that is over all so distractingly out of focus and lite very harshly that it is no surprise that it doesnt sell.
