This is a picture of US Marines in southern Afghanistan helping out a little friend they picked up. Makes me think there might still be some humanity left in the world.

Back when I was serving time in Bangkok, we used to feed the roaches our rice in an attempt to fatten up the roaches. After they grew up and were nice and plump, we would eat them. More protein in them and healthier than the shit they served us every day, what little there was.

OK, not really, but I read that in a book once. Maybe these guys are going to eat that little dog?
