.xxx 2257 etc
I am just thinking today all the Christian / righteousness crap that Adult recieves...
The finger needs to be turned around. Somehow it needs to be pushed that a parent, that lets their child surf the internet AT ALL without supervision is a bad parent. Yeah yeah I know this will never happen but hear me out. A parent that drops their child off at the mall, then goes to work for 8 hours is guilty of child endangerment. They wouldn't set them free in a park then drive away, or give them a gun and say "here is how you use it - have fun". Again...child endangerment So giving a teenager a cell phone that can take pictures of themselves, or a child access to the internet AT ALL is child endangerment. Wether you agree or not, it's still child endangerment. Not the gun owners fault if the kids shoots himself, or the malls fault that the parent wasn't supervising the child, not the website's fault for posting german fisting pictures. The internet was never supposed to be for kids - just because so many people give their kids access to it still doesn't mean that it is supposed to be for kids. The next step then is to enforce this: Instead of websites being considered the culprit, the parent needs to be charged with child endangerment every time a child comes across an adult website. When a child arrives to an adult website (ie, fills out the age form as "born in 1998"), the IP address/etc information needs to be forwarded to child services that this parent is giving access to an adult website to their child. The same way you would report a child wandering around the mall to the police. It needs to be shown that parents are the criminals for not supervising their child. It needs to be broad and unrealistic too - anyone that gives access to the internet AT ALL to their child, is a bad parent. It needs to be loud and vocal, that when a child gets into an adult website, their parent is a "bad parent". Christians that let their child surf the internet AT ALL, are bad parents because they are not supervising them. Think 1970's anti-fur people, or gays inventing the word "homophobic" to point the finger at straights rather than themselves...think how the word "blood diamond" was invented to taint diamonds based on someone else's political agenda (personally I don't give a crap if the diamond came from an oppressed country that's not my problem) Yeah yeah I know this will never happen but that's what needs to be done... "Bad parent"...

I started this thread, because I realized that if this doesn't happen...soon people will think that "now that they have .xxx domains, all adult related content should be illegal on .com's".
It's going to happen unless the parents are shown to be the real criminals.

Yes, child neglect is what I meant. I actually don't know the difference between child neglect and child endangerment but you get the idea.

don't need to go as far as "child endangerment", but launching a campaign that letting your kid play on internet unattended is a sign of bad parenting and irresponsible behavior is a good id imo.

It's easier to make a skapegoat out of the adult businesses than it is to try and get parents to be responsible...
Just look at society in general... |
