Any companies doing this... Give away "Printers" for Free and then on the backend make the $$$ on th

on the ink????

One all in one Printer i got is the Dell 966 and the nag screen when the shit needs more ink is painful...

I tried once those refill places but the printer still recognizes it as empty so thus I buy the OEM ....

Another dell in the office we got is a laser and the fucking toner is like $120 and we go through em about 3/month and no place "refills" em....

i am just babbling lolol

That's actually how one of the razor companies made money. Gillette, Bic, one of them.

On lower end printers the retail refills are almost the same price as a new printer with ink.

Kodak is pretty much doing that, but they're not giving them away. Cheap printers and making up for it on the ink...which is still pretty cheap, compared.

I love how you run out of one of the three colors of the colored ink and can't print blank until you refill the colored ink.. What a scam that is... Not even sure where all the color from those 3 go, since i only print in blank :D

The cheaper the printer the more they fuck you on refill

I prefer black and white "old school" laser, cheap and reliable since I don't need to print anything in color and if I needed a quality color print it would suck anyway

Lexmark is good for that shit... Printer is cheap in cost, but the ink is overpriced.

rated for 6000 pages per cartridge thats the high yield version ..

the high usage is for the pick tickets and packing slips

once it gets low you can squeeze some more pages out of it but the bar codes get bad if you go past the "yield" and trouble scanning

Versa Check practically gives away the printer in order to keep you hooked on their MICR toner.

Did anyone else randomly get a free razor in the mail from Gillette right before their 18th birthday? That marketing promotion worked on me ... I still give them money a dozen years later.
