Ok what could be causing this. Nothing will refresh properly for me!!! HELP!!!!

I don't know what the fuck is going on here, but nothing will refresh for me online.

I was working on a blog earlier, and after I have loaded a page, when I change something and go back to it refresh etc. it is still the same.!

So, I've deleted firefox. (not fully because I don't want to lose my bookmarks and everything)

Upgraded it to the newest one.

Deleted opera which I use from time to time.

Cleared my cache, on all 3 browsers. IE FF and Opera.

Rebooted my laptop.

Run all possbile windows updates that were available.

Cleared that offline folder.

Cleared tempory internet files.

Then I go back to this blog and it is still showing the same! It's been doing it to me for the last or week so.

I asked someone to check what the domain shows for them, and they are seeing what it should be like, but I am still getting the old page.

Any ideas? other than take on my laptop and throw it away?

There's a new malware/trojan out.

My buddy just got it, and he's having similar issues as you, but it eventually stopped letting him use a browser completely.

Webroot couldn't fix it, as it would just clone itself.

It's been disguising as a HD driver.

I am not sure the process for the 'loading' whether you are doing it via web admin or FTP.

So I will cover broadly. I would start checking time stamps to make sure your posts are actually 'updating/posting/uploaded'. If they are, it is local. If not, they are internet.

From there, start the process of detective work. Also run your malware, spyware, whatever.

Try using a different DNS.

That makes sense, other than the driver part.

I run my virus scan and everything and it didn't find anything. So maybe it's an awkward fucker to get a hold of!

It's definately not to do with my hosting or whatever thats for sure. because other people have checked my site. And it is displaying correctly.

If I load a page up, then try refreshing it. It won't do it.

For some reason GFY seems to refresh fine though. but I have to do it 2 times for it to work properly or I get an error.

Seriously, try a different DNS, or refreshing your router. There are sites that do this to me every so often, GFY is one of them. Once I reboot the router, everything is fine.

Worth a shot.

Tried that, no luck

I will see what happens. If it doesn't sort itself out. I might have to do another virus scan, completely delete all internet stuff and try again.

Assuming you use Windows..start your computer in safe mode...then do your scans.

You might also try flushing DNS cache
To flush DNS cache in Microsoft Windows (Win XP, Win ME, Win 2000):-

- Start -> Run -> type cmd
- in command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns
- Done! Your Window DNS cache has just been flushed.

That's really strange, especially if you've cleared your cookies / temp internet files. Are you hitting CTRL + F5 to refresh?

Check with your ISP too to see if they have recently installed a caching server. A lot of ISP's are using them these days because it gives the "appearance" of them providing faster access.

Ok still getting problems.

Trying refresh normally on firefox etc. and tried ctrl + F5. Still the same.

Going to try running a scan in safemode.

If not I will phone the ISP up and tell them they suck

Yeah I get this sometimes, attributed it to some sort of ISP based cache. Try a proxy.
