If you want amazing beaches and more of a tourist type atmosphere go to Cancun. Playa del Carmen is also great. Mazatlan is also a great place to go, tons of things to do. Cabo is nice as well but pretty expensive compared to other spots in Mexico.

since your on the east coast I would recommend Cancun area also. All inclusive packages are really cheap right now, so you get there - put on a wrist band and you have all you can eat and drink

I JUST got back from Cancun - Playa del Carmen is a great "party" spot, but any of the all-inclusives on the Riviera Maya are fun - you can get more secluded if you go to the smaller ones. IF you go to Puerto Vallarta though, there is an AMAZING restaurant called Vista Grille. It sits up on a hill and overlooks the entire bay from their outdoor "room" restaurant. The food is awesome, and the view is insane! Wherever you go, have an awesome time!

www.pleasantholidays.com They have super rates on airfare and hotels. I've been to pretty much every non-springbreak tourist destination in Mexico ... I liked Mazatlan and Cancun but it just depends on what time you go. And yeah it's a fucking warzone down there right now. Be careful. |
