What if, after 90 days of inactivity, when you tried to login, it would send you an email and you had to click a link to re-verify your name/email?

Would that stop people from hacking into old usernames... or do those hackers also have the original users email accounts hacked as well?

A lot of boards do have that now. 90 day must log in.

I know some will even force you to change passwords after so many days.

It's a pisser coming up with new passwords, but for the best.

I rather see some genius rules on how we get rid of the surfers, trolls, and fakers hiding behind their anonymous nicknames while trashing others.

Most of us have been posting here for years and know that this is just GFY and what comes with it.

If you can't take the heat, you get out of the kitchen. Seems simple enough to me.

If you change that, it's no longer GFY.

i always just memorize and use the randomly generated passwords that sites give you. maybe it's just me but it's easier and that way no one can guess it right.

Hi,

I meant to just reverify your email, not change passwords every 90 days. But, if someone were to hack and old gfy username that has not been used in over 90 days, then they could not use it unless they also hacked that gfy users email account, bcause once they try to login to the hacked gfy account, it will send a email verification to that gfy users email, and until clicked, that gfy username cannot login and be used.

I hate changing passwords too... so that's not what I meant.
