If you could choose your dream car and the price would not matter - which one would it be?

it would be a tough choice for me, but for me it would be either a Porsche or an Audi

Porsche Carrera GT

or Porsche GT3 RS

or Audi Sport Quattro

or Audi Quattro Ralley

what about you?

Stutz Blackhawk

Ferrari Dino 246

Corvette 62

Thunderbird 59 Cabrio

Eldorado

911 Carrera

If I had to choose just one I'd probably go with Corvette.

I'm not picky. I'd settle for a brand new ZR1 Corvette.

I'm super happy with the car I have now. I would just want one set up for comfort as opposed to excessive power.

If I had to have something else more extravagant it would be this

or something like this

It seems like the purfect combo of luxury and utility- but I also really need speed.

I was really dissapointed in how slow and shitty alot of the top of the line SUVs drive. Range Rovers particularly. Smooth ride, nice all around car, but too slow. I haven't taken out a Range Rover Sport yet though...

I've also been in lust with the Land Rover Defender:

I think I probably wouldn't like driving it though. It doesn't really seem like it has any speed to it. There's a dealership not far from me that has one but all 3 times I've set up an appointment to test drive it something happens and they've got it in the shop getting fixed- and its always something major- which is a major turn off.

The Sport is a completely different vehicle you might find you like it.

My dad has got one. It's very basic compared to most modern cars and although it is brilliant off-road its very bumpy and slow on-road.
If you like speed I don't think it's going to suit you.

If you could choose your dream car and the price would not matter - which one would it be?

Honestly I couldn't choose just one car, and the thing with dream-cars is they always turn out to have been better as a dream than reality

lol - to be honest - once i had clicked submit for the post the 959 crossed my mind

you're right, it's still an amazing car and had a lot of features that others came up with almost a decade later. i just had a look and there are like 6-7 available over here - between $250k and $370k

I'm just not that into cars. For me they are a way to get from point A to point B, I don't really care what they look like or how fast they go.

I went to Rennsport a few years ago at Daytona which is a huge Porsche event with amazing cars both on and off the track. Not on display but parked under the bleachers was a red Porsche so I took a few pics. At the time I didn't know it was a 959.

I later found out just how lucky I was to find it and how rare they are. For awhile they weren't even allowed in the US but now they have a way to get in. I heard this one was owned by Jerry Seinfeld but was unable to confirm. I don't know how many are currently in the US but now more than ever I appreciate the opportunity to get that picture.

I can't find the picture but I made a thread about it here once.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_959 - you're right, i didnt know they weren't legal in the US, one of them even spent 13 years in customs custody - lol.

what is not mentioned there - a regular service for a 959 is about $20k - once a year. so even if you got one you still need deep pockets ;)
