Is WebCam Content Worth Paying For?

I stumbled onto this enlightening article by Derek Smout. He drives the point that webcam content is here to stay and won't be going away in the distant future. I think webcams is the real next level of internet porn.

When I was approached to write an article on whether or not webcam content is worth paying for, the answer came to me quickly: The webcam experience is unique to each user where the individual has complete control over his fantasy.

?Webcams aren?t going away anytime,? I continued, but it sounded like a stock answer. I do have the stats and screen shots to prove it. The article would be short and look very biased so I started researching and I noticed many interesting things.

First off, I noticed the explosion of the sites Cam4.com from Python and MyFreeCams.com in my day-to-day work. They have put a dent in the traditional pay-per-view webcam market over the last three years. They are getting away from the pay-per-minute model and using a simple ?tip? button to generate revenue. Simple in concept, but they know something other free cam sites don?t: Users don?t get off to the webcam clips and free content, they get off on the experience. It?s not about porn, it?s something much bigger? the experience. Spenders often did not even want to see the girls naked, but were looking to connect on any level.

IMO for paysites to continue there has to be a marriage between webcam and paysites. We run live shows for members on our site and the response is great. Members like it.

The free sites will take a share of the guys that just wanna wack to any chick. The free sites won't take the whales though as those guys don't wanna be in a room with 1,000+ members they wanna be in a room with 5-20 and pull a chick private and chat with her and when the free sites get 1000+ members in them they freeze or run like shit quite often. Also the reason the solo girl sites that succeed are the ones that talk to their members, take requests, do cam shows etc... as your selling interaction and not just some titties on the screen. I'm signed up to 100+ ccbill solo girl programs and every year more go dead then succeed as they don't interact with their customers. Takes more than a body to succeed it takes interaction, personality, cams and for the model to actually give a fuck about her customers or fake it pretty good.
