UK peeps : is HD TV via Sky possible without their HD Bundle?

No point in asking Sky since never get a straight answer, so I thought I'd try here lol

If we cancel our HD Bundle (National Geographic, History Channel) etc., can we still watch BBC and Channel 4 etc in High Definition?

Thanks!

Can't you get the BBC HD channels and Channel 4 ones on Free Sat/Free View?

Not sure. Feed comes through via dish only...

I can't imagine the BBC getting away with making any channel that wasn't 'free to air' since it is paid for through the licence fee. There must be a way.

You can get Freesat with a Sky dish but I think you need a Freesat box.

All the HD free to air channels can be gotten over satellite if you have an HD box. Tune into the channels using the proper frequency etc (see http://www.astra2d.com for frequencies) . The Sky HD Box will work if there's a valid card in it...

Channel 4 HD isn't free to air - it's free to view. Subtle difference.
