About the show in Vegas

Well this is funny, i have been talking to people for hte show. I dont' know what you guys expect from the show but i'm going there to meet up face to face with people i do business with and also i go there to meet new people and promote my company. But is the show getting to weird? some time i wonder if it's a show for 18 years old that just got out of mom's house and never seen a girl naked. ( i'm 24)

I'm Bringing my girlfriend wiht me there, and she knows what it's about, and she's ok with some people struting around... I was looking at the parties that was happening, and 90% of htem are just about going to drink and see some stripers... We got strip clubs here, if i want to see naked woman i can go any day, hell my father inlaw runs the strip bar.(2 of them)

My point is, the big companies are wasting their money in parties that cost up to $50 000 or maybe more, just to show that they have big pockets (do they actually calculate the ROI on the parties?). Well most of the webmasters that goes to the party never advertised for htem adn will never. So what is the point, why not make private parties for the people that sell for them.

well i'm gonna stop talking on the board, i'm gonna go work and hten party a little and spend time with the GF.

Erm... parties are for having fun, making impressions, and... networking... IMHO. =)

Maybe you'll have people that show up, that will never make a dime with your program...

but maybe you'll have a few that will make $10k/week and like the way you treat people, regardless if they are your affiliate or not.

Its easy to retain a good affiliate, if you show them a good time, treat them well, and have a good program

Its hard to GET a great affiliate, if you don't show them a good time, and treat them well, and have a good program

I know what are the shows, this is not my frist... And yes Strip club are a meeting place. But their is limits, some people make ass of them self. I like the show. and it's not going to be my last but if your ignorent you don't notice how much money is spent for nothing. When i spend a $1 i expect at least $2 back. not spend $1 and get a nothing back.

Ok now talk to you all in 2003 bye!

Business is business. So why not work with people who are fun and respect their people. ROI is hard to measure when it comes to respect.

Who you gonna trust with your business: the guy who writes his email on a napkin? Or the guy who has Snoop playing his digs?

Hmm i guess you didn't do business 101. the funny thing is most of hte company that have been going all out at the shows since i started going to the shows in 99 well alote of them didn't stay very long around.

I rather get a email on a piece of paper then get some guy that throws his money to try to look better then they are. I never paid anyone to promote me or my company in the past 5 years, and i always end up making more money then a doctor.

ok now it's time to go talk to my cat because he makes more sence then you.

Ahhh.. Well being as "old" as you are I can see why this sort of carrying on might not be comfortable for you. Twenty three is pretty much the end when it comes to just enjoying yourself for once. Since you are 24 this must be an outrage.

If that were true I would have stopped having a good time sixteen years ago man, While I might not be able to hang like an 18 year old.... I'm not as close to dead as you are.. lol

As far as people spending money.... man this is nothing. I am from Detroit where they spend millions to impress potential clients. The automotive industy has been doing that for years and I am sure that industry is not alone. This indusrty is no different. I would bet the people throwing the "big" parties are more then getting a $1.00 return on their investment. They will most likely get that while the party is going on. Your yearly "Doctor" salary is most likely their weekly salary.

So... my advice to you would be.... enjoy yourself. Stop worrying what other people are spending. As long as its not your money whats the problem?

By the way... I am bring a few of those 18 year olds with me. They happen to be female and I bet they will be running around naked from time to time.

VIP passes should be included in your Checks,
for people that actually promote the sites..
Regular people get regular admission, since the Company throwing the party are trying to get New webmasters to promote thier sites..

Just my thoughts....

Umm, you're not that far from 18 years old buddy. 6 years is not a big difference. Wait 20 years, and then complain. :-)
