Windows 7 File Search Sucks!

so I'm trying to search for " .mp3"

note the space before the extension... but it returns all files ending in .mp3 even without the space....

and when I search for "1.mp3" it returns files ending in "1).mp3"

I'm using quotes which are suppose to be EXACT search values but it doesn't give a fuck... can someone tell me if I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks

Your spaces are being turned into nothingness.

Same as the 8 character reply I posted in the previous reply.

"* .mp3"

Make sure there really is a space in the filename before the extension. Windows will automatically drop a space before the extension in windows explorer unless the file was named somewhere other than windows explorer.

Same thing seems to work on the other search. "*1).mp3"

The wildcard (*) is the key.
