Now, we learn the details of a connection of Rahm Emanuel, the Chicago mayoral wannabe, current Obama chief of staff, ex-representative, ex-Clinton money man and ex-Windy City political machine go-fer.

Shortly after Obama's happy inaugural, eyebrows rose slightly upon word that, as a House member, Emanuel had lived the last five years rent-free in a D.C. apartment of Democratic colleague Rep. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut and her husband, Stanley Greenberg.

..just seems everyone has an opinoin but dont see many actually doing something about it

I've spent the last month or so assisting family members and friends from a flood. What the fuck have you done? EVER? Beside I'd much rather help with an act of mother nature rather than an act of BP and it's cohorts. No I'll just sit back and watch (and assist) in the exposure of their crime. Add to the fact that BP has given Barry about $11 Million over the past 7 years for his PAC, mind you that's more than any other single person across both parties.

I don't think that their outrage is fake. I think they are outraged that all eyes are now on them and we are finding out just how in bed with big oil the administration is.

settle down francis i ment no disrespect all i was pointing out is that everyones got somthing to say but not many are actually doing anything to help...Glad you are in the position to help YOUR family and friends out with the problems they are having with the flood..maybe you shoud start a thead about the flood and how its effecting YOU and YOURs...also good to know that you will help out YOUR friends and family if and when oil splil effects them

The only way to stop the environmental disaster is to shatter the deception behind it. I don't know if you have seen the recent live feeds but to me it doesn't look like they've done very much good with the supposed fix. Once again they are just stalling and buying time so the problem gets MUCH worse. They need the majority to be REALLY pissed that it happened and the damage it's causing and not focused on HOW and WHY it happened so they can get their legislation passed. I'm going to focus on the "how" and "why" because as the FEMA contractor that I spoke with recently said he and his crew are happy to spend the next few years cleaning it up for $xxx,xxx a month. All the while running up the debt to you and me. In fact he even stated he was glad "they did it on purpose." Without me even asking what he thought.. He just offered it up..

Pick a private sector.. banking, oil, coal, even agriculture.. and you'll find what they call a revolving door environment.
Today, I work for monsanto. Then I work for the EPA. Then I work for the FDA. Then I get elected to some political office.. Then I lobby politicians on behalf of monsanto.

It's the same everywhere in our country. Once you get a cushy job and you start doing favors, you'll never be unemployed. You'll bounce from job to job, but you'll always be working the wheel to further the big business of your chosen industry.
