SSL certificate?
GoDaddy is suggesting that I get an SSL certificate for my domains. My question is: Why and can you combine this when your domain is set on private registration..?

You only need SSL cert if you have something like a store where people are entering sensitive data.

To wit:
They're not mutually exclusive, but entirely unrelated. If you don't know what SSL is for, you probably don't need it.
