5 hours JFK to LGA
Never been to NY but there is a super cheap flight that can get me to where I want to go, however I need to go from JFK to LGA, it's a 5 hour layover, is this enough time? What's the best way to do this?

A helicopter will be suitable for the JFK > LGA ride. It's very close, or at least within decent distance.
However, being it leaving one airport and entering another I would allow plenty of fudge time for getting your bags, packing in and out of cars, some holding time and so on and so forth. I would really recommend you to alot a minimum of 1 hour for the pure transfer. That should keep you on the reasonably safe side.

No, from what I see there are shuttles and shit, but is it worth it is all I am asking? I don't know what NY traffic is like, how far away the airports are, and all that crap. Is 5 hours enough time/is the hassle worth it to save 200 bucks?

Depending on how hard it is for you to earn $200 and how much luggage you are carrying. Taking on to much on the shuttle busses are never fun. Better to take a cab in between.
How much is the total trip for? Is it for under $1000 and you are not short on time, I would say take the layover and save the $200. It's not that much trouble, as long as you don't carry heavy luggage of course.
