It's an AFC vs NFC game that commemorates the new inductees to the NFL Hall of Fame, and is the kick-off to the pre-season...

versus

Although they probably won't get much playing time, it will be interesting to see Ochocinco and Owens lined up together...

"kicking off the pre-season" is goodell's way of trying to bring in more money for the league.

these guys can't risk playing anywhere near 100% tonite, will they even need pads?

besides, being pre-season how will they even know a play/how to play together.

The NFL Hall of Fame Game has been going on since 1962 - long before Goodell became the Commish...

Yes, in a sense the pre-season represents glorified scrimmage games, but based upon how certain players do in the pre-season, it may determine whether or not they get to stay in the NFL - so for those players, a lot is at stake.

I only watch the first quarter of many pre-season games. I watch the entire games of the teams I follow closest to see how the rookies fare, and to see how players perform in contested positions.
