Does anyone watch Wipeout? I'm Boycotting...

2 Years ago, I submitted myself for the show. I even told them if I win the 50K, I'll donate it to any charity of their choice. They still haven't called me.

So I'm not watching the show until they call me.

They also had one death on the show already. But I still want to be on it.

Anyone here been on any Game Shows?

I love that show, I'm interested in the death article myself.

Are you kidding me? The guy had a heart condition, didn't list it, and died from it as a result of the physical work from the show.. Hardly the show or ABC's fault.

I did fear factor years ago fro Dutch television.
Was pretty cool even though the "fear factor" wasn't all that.

I ended up runner up because the time to beat holding my breath under water upside down was almost 3 minutes. Yes 3 minutes. I wasn't even going to try but they made me.
I think I lasted 10 secs or something like that. Smoker heh.

I love really big, grossly fat, women on that show.... absolute pure entertainment at its best! I want to see the girl that has her ass/crotch censored out with the skirt on, that shit looked hot.

Got lucky the crew fucked everything up.
Instead of having to eat, they put me in a box with nasty shit having me sort out white rats, and yes the were biting.

And instead of having to go through an underwater challenge in a submerged bus in the final round, the bus was too big for the pool so instead they just wanted us to hold our breath.

The guy who went first held his breath for almost 3 minutes.
The guy vomited water for many minutes.
I like winning but I'm not suicidal...

There are a lot of shows you need to boycott if that is the criteria.

Pretty dumb to get on Wipeout if you have a known heart condition. I would imagine he lied somewhere on the giant stack of legal "cover ABC's ass" documents you have to sign to get on the show.

That's awesome, I hope you do get on.

I wanted Chris to do it but you have to be a California resident, which totally sucks.

I remember awhile ago when you were deciding if you wanted to go on the show or not. Don't boycott the show, keep trying. I still have my fingers crossed that you make it. Try sending them an audition tape and wear a super hero costume, they seem to like that over the top crazy thing

I was trying to get on that show as well, until I got to the NBC studios and saw the line of people filling out the applications, so I feard the line.

Yeah, I think I sent a normal picture of me, which to me is still not normal. But I think the clown outfit may work.

They also seem to like the flaming gay guys. I think it's the high pitched squeals they do when they get nailed in the face with the boxing glove.

I take it it's all mind over matter. Nice job there.
Wasn't there one episode they had to take a bit out of dead rats?

I've only watched wipeout a couple times and I can believe more people don't
get hurt. With so much mechanical stuff moving it seems like people would get bent
out of shape and moved in ways they shouldn't.

I'm very athletic and on the smart side of fearless so I wouldn't have a problem doing Fear Factor however there is no way I'm eating stuff like live spiders or pig rectum

If I was on that show I'd get one of my friends to lend me $50K cash and I'd put it in my pockets. Then when Joe Rogan told me I had to eat a Madagascar Roach I'd tell him I'm not eating any roach for $50K and I've probably got that much money in my pocket right now. He'd say yeah right and then I'd proceed to pull the money out of all my pockets and blow everyone's mind.

That moment would be worth more than winning to me

I enjoy watching it, which is rare for me and an ABC show. I'll never forget a big lady approaching carefully to the very first obstacle, taking a look.. and saying "Oh HELLLL no!" and turning around and walking off.

I hope you get on! Good luck!

I'm not really into watching tv, but this show seemed interesting enough to have a look at. I didn't know until now, that someone died during the show

Great, so a Tu-tu rainbow clown outfit. lol And I'm still willing to give them money to charity.
What do I get for my pride, ego and most likely a broken back.

Maybe they'll let me do it without the camera's rolling, I hate being in front of the camera.
Or I'll break in after dark, turn on all the machines and take that route.

Well, when you're married it's not a means to an end, just harmless flirting for the sake of it.

She loves big bouncy balls.

Your mistake was telling them you'd donate the prize money to charity should you win. They want contestants where the prize money will be life changing and will show genuine emotion with a win.
