Hey guys,

Before I reinvent the wheel, I thought I'd stop in here to ask if anyone here knows of any video streaming scripts - PHP preferably. I want to charge by the second. People can buy 1 hours worth for example, time only counts down while they are viewing a video. I'm not interested in webcam software.

Any recommendations?

for the VOD stuff where we had to deduct time that we have built we ended up building a filter in c++ to run all the traffic though to properly count the time and scale to a large level.
we didnt find any open source projects out there that could do what we needed to (which sounds similar to your situation)

i use this http://h264.code-shop.com/trac and JW Player - for high visitor numbers i of course recommend a real streaming server

You can do this using Wowza, flash and php.
