They will pay for my schooling (i want to finish a degree but do not want to pay for it myself or take out any shitty loans) and I will get back in shape with basics. Anyone know of any reasons NOT to join? the 1 weekend a month will pay about 400 bucks also.

Yes they can but the Air Force is the safest branch for that. Plus I know people who are in charge of who goes where so I'm not too worried about that. Not sure what I will get trained in, but I'm aiming for Air Traffic Controller.
