Is It Just Me Or Are There Less Women Getting Into Porn?

I am not obsessed with any new porn stars. I think that's because there are less to choose from.

anyone got any numbers on how many women made their first hardcore porn video this year as compared to previous years?

Free porn = reduced profit = less scenes shot = fewer models required.

True, but isn't there also:

Shitty economy = more broke girls = more girls coming to porn for quick cash?

Yes, I've heard that they pay much less now for a scene than before, but I don't know, so it might be the reason why those hotties are doing something else instead of fucking in front of camera.

??? what do you mean? I was just thinking this today while looking for porn stars. I think Kelly Wells was the last girl I became interested in.

I don't think I have seen a new girl that grabbed my interest in at least two years.

I can only equate that with a lack of new talent.

I think it is very opposite of that. More girls are getting into porn because of the economy being bad. There are a lot of girls I know that debate on doing it. If they are having trouble getting work they are more likely to give it a shot.

So how much is a bj scene going to run me? Keep in mind I will only be using in shape young male talent that the girls will like.

I think women are discovering there is more money to made simply by getting married. Rather than selling thier bodies cheap to the camera, better to sell it to one man for all the marbles. Dating is big again and even the lowest of the low sluts that used to think porn was the way out, are realizing it's not. Now, those women are being nice to nice to men again because there is no other way out for them. Simple evolution of the social order. Women in porn had a lot of power and control, now that power is fading away.

Maybe more of them are realizing that the internet is forever. Far easier to be a stripper or an escort, and not have it archived for eternity.

I was going to say something similar. It used to be that a girl could make 50 videos, make some nice money, move on and no one would know the difference. Now, the girls have 5 minute videos on the tube sites where everyone can watch for free. Freaks them out more.

With Piracy, Cal/OSHA, 2257, and .xxx causing unknowns for future financial health, some companies have cut back on productions (why spend money to produce something that might be pirated, or get a Cal/OSHA fine, or cause heartburn because of possible future hassles with 2257 or, .xxx and leave little room to recover production costs)---the cut-back means less bookings for talent, so less talent financially survive, so they leave the Industry??????????

The person you question before posted his comment in a way that sounded very much like a reference to a British sketch show called The Fast Show. On which one of the characters would each week tell his what he had been mostly eating.

As an example:

or https://youtube.com/watch?v=h-z5T8meC84 if my embedding didn't work since it is always just showing up as a white block for me these days on here.

I love all these people speculating with their silly theories. Because the original poster personally hasn't become "obsessed" with a particular porn star since Kelly Wells retired, that has to mean there are less porn stars getting into the biz? That's nonsesne. There are actually more women getting in porn in 2010 than ever before. Way more. I have made a career since 1991 shooting mostly first time females and I get more new models inquiring about work and pics emailed to me by various third parties in a given period of time nowadays than at any time in the past nineteen years. I would even go so far as to say there are more new faces getting into the porn business in a month now as there used to be in a year ten or fifteen years ago.

It seems like there are hotter and hotter girls in porn each year which would naturally lead one to conclude that society is changing and women don't think it's as big a deal to do porn as before. This is a world where celebrities get more famous after a sex tape.

She retired wow, crazy shit. I think she shot her first bj facial with me in 2004. And yeah I agree with Steve from above... they freak out and quit quicker but from what I can tell there are tons more coming in yearly.

Was just talking to an ex porn chick a couple days ago and she was saying that most girls are getting paid a lot less, like something that used to pay $1000 is now just $500.. But she was also saying that there were those that are getting insane amounts as well.

Actually I have no idea if she retired or not. I just presumed based on what one of the previous posters wrote. Maybe she is still active.

But if there isn't enough work for these models then it doesn't matter. It seems to me that there is less hardcore content making it to the end user than ever before. I visit tgp's and tubes daily and they always seem to have the same stuff. I think only niche porn that is closer to a fetish is the only exception.

stupid thread and Mr. Gunn is absolutely right - as a recruiter and first-timer shooter I have never seen more hot girls willing to do porn than ever. It's about 10 times easier to find hot first timers now than it was a decade ago..

As I said previously, willingness to work does not equal finished videos.

and finished videos do not mean a product that gets bought and distributed to program owners or third parties.

Where is all the new content? I don't see it, at least not as much as we had 4-5 years ago.

I think a lot of you guys are still filming but it's not getting the distribution it use to get.

people please - the downturn in the porn economy has done nothing to dampen the desire of young girls to make easy money. I have far more choices of new talent than ever before.

Here are a few reasons why there are more girls getting into porn than in the past:

as the internet becomes more and more ubiquitous in virtually all homes - young girls are exposed to porn and masturbating to porn from a very young age. Thus they are more used to the idea and even turned on by the thought of doing it when they turn 18.

A huge percentage (probably the majority) of girls from 12-16 are masturbating for their boyfriends on webcam or mobile phone. Early porn training.

Society is far more liberal with regards to porn and the stigma attached to doing porn than it was in the past.

With the massive increase in the quantity of porn models in the last decade girls can actually do porn and stay more anonymous than in the day of the "porn star". A girl who did porn back in the day would be recognized walking down the street.

This is the single biggest reason of all why so many new girls are coming into the biz: Easy access to recruiters or agencies - years ago girls had no idea how to get into the biz or who to call. I use to hire models from Jim South 15 years ago when he was the only agent in the biz - the girls were almost all local LA girls and mostly dogs - now every girl knows that with the click of a mouse they can find a porn agency that will fly them to LA the next day. It's far FAR easier for girls to actually enter the biz.

This trend is even far more pronounced in europe - notice not many ugly EU porn girls? Thats because there are SO MANY girls wanting to do porn that if you aren't pretty or a little out of shape no one will shoot you.

The original question in the title of the thread was about the amount of new girls getting into the business. And there are indeed more new girls getting into the business now than ever. Take it from someone who makes their living at this. If you want to talk about how much new content is being released, that is a related but entirely separate question.

What you see personally isn't really an indication of very much. There are indeed ways to estimate how much new adult content is being released, both online and off-line. For example, I have detailed published lists of EVERY adult VHS & DVD new release title listed by exact date of release going back to 1998 and current to September 2010. This list was and is created daily every weekday by the leading distributor of adult DVDs in the US. I know it is accurate because I used to work in the office in 1998 when one of the office assistants started to compiling it and that work still goes on to this day.

I just did a quick count and it appears that there were approx 300 adult DVD new release movies, straight, gay & she-male, released in August 2010. That's down from a total of about 500 released in the same month in 2007 according to my quick counting. Still that's a lot of porn in one month and that of course only counts the new release adult DVD titles, not all the web site content being created. Calculating how much adult web content was released online in a given month would be a much more difficult enterprise. But if someone wanted to do it, I am sure it would be a considerable amount if you added up every naked photo shoot, hardcore b/g, g/g, group sex and other video, every solo masturbation scene, foot fetish scene, every gay scene, she-male sex scene etc created by someone for not just the big programs but also every producer in every country around the world, selling clips on places like Clips4Sale and everywhere else. Good luck counting all that up!

I don't see all the new porn, seems it's all the same shit everywhere.

But if I was a producer what's the point, you might as well just steal everyone elses content since nobody buy lightspeed seems to give a shit.

This is what I've been seeing for years. Maybe it's only in Europe. I speak to shooters in Czech, Hungary, UK on a regular basis plus was shooting myself up to 2 years ago. The downturn started far earlier for us. Fewer good girls and fewer teens were coming into the business. Seems they didn't want the neighbors seeing them naked on the Internet.

For every girl who got exposed for doing porn there are loads more who heard her story and the problems it brought them. The snowball effect took over.

I always wonder why chicks don't just create their own retarded looking web sites with home made style content and CCBILL for their affiliate/credit processing.

I mean seriously... You are going to make dirt even if you are hot. So why not just do it on your own and make all of the dirt and if you are all that and a bag of chips the larger teen affiliates are going to put your shit up just the same as they do for any other programs sites.
