![]() I came to GFY a few years ago wanting to get into the industry... ended up doing a lot of blogs and even tried to start a paysite (the two guys I was working with bailed out, I got burned on stolen content and the thing fell through)
I was able to start generating some revenue from the blogs but at that point I was over the whole thing and started spending time on other stuff. I didn't know much about web development back then. When I got out of adult stuff, I started learning a lot more about SEO, web marketing and I even got pretty good at PHP and CSS/design stuff. I've got several "big projects" going on right now (though not producing cash atm), and I'm doing business web development for cash... it's not great but with the clients I have it's a steady $1500-$2000 a month and not much work. I'm just contemplating giving the adult biz another shot with all the extra knowledge and skills I have gained over the past few years. Is it worth it though? I'd really like to hear some opinions. I have some extra time to put into it, and the goal would be to bring in an extra ~$1000 a month. I've been thinking about doing a blog network and seeing what kind of success I can get. I know the key is finding the right niche... just wondering if I can get to that point after a few months of intense link building and marketing |

Still money in this business that is for sure, but its TOUGH and does not seem to be getting much better as time passes.
I couldn’t personally give you advice on the Business to consumer products. But if you need starter content packages i can help |

I'm actually thinking I want to make a network of blogs with the idea of getting readers who aren't specifically looking for adult stuff at the moment - lots of advice/reviews/pictures (non nude probably) but then promote a lot of adult content
just figuring that people who are already searching for porn are more likely to know how to get what they need for free. This way I'd probably also be able to link build without looking so much like an adult site. And thanks @Loch and @heymatty (lol although I can't tell if you're joking or not) And thanks @Vick - the idea is sounding better and better the more I think about it |
